Meet Your Inner Mentor

While we all have an Inner Critic (or several), we also have an Inner Mentor. For me, I truly started to lean into my Inner Mentor after getting sober and navigating my divorce. I began to intuitively 'know' that I wasn't meant to be in my marriage anymore.

I initially found the 'Future Self' meditation online and began to get to know the version of me I was on my way to becoming. She was strong and successful—not in a rich or famous way, but in a way where she was earning her own money and helping change lives along the way. She loved and respected herself and expected nothing less from those around her. She was grounded in calmness and genuinely happy with herself and her life. She became my Inner mentor, a vision of myself around 5 - 10  years into the future.

I have continued to hone this practice and can now access her whenever I need to. I can see her sitting in the chair of the newly renovated house (that we have since moved in to), with a cup of herbal tea, a big smile, and a sense of calm and contentment. I can ask her advice, and she always gives me the most incredible guidance.

You may already have a deep connection with your intuition, which is wonderful and powerful. However, creating a vision of your Inner Mentor takes it a step beyond.

It's time for you to meet your inner mentor. Make sure you can carve out 20 minutes of undisturbed time to complete this exercise. As soon as you finish the meditation, fill out the journal prompts hat you will receive in your inbox. I love this practice and hope you do too!
